College Student Success Centers
Academic Advising
Academic advising is a partnership between students and academic advisors. Advisors engage students in their planning, teach them how to navigate relevant academic resources, and encourage them to take responsibility for decisions about their academic progress.
Access College and Excel
The Access College and Excel (ACE) program is a special scholarship and retention program aimed at helping incoming freshman, who have graduated from specific high schools effectively transfer from high school to a four-year university with the goal of obtaining a bachelor's degree.

Bold Scholars Program
The Bold Scholars Program is a 4-year program that will provide support, resources, and community to help students in this program engage early in the university experience, build their network, and participate in career-focused experiential learning across their four-year course of study at UTSA. The program is designed to foster their ultimate success both in the classroom and in their career.
First-Gen and Transfer Student Programs
MH 2.02.02
The First-Gen & Transfer Student Programs support students that identify as a first-generation or transfer student as they pursue their undergraduate degree. Programming includes mentorship, student success activities, and community building.
First-Year Experience (Peer Mentoring)
MH 2.02.02
The First-Year Experience Program (FYE) is committed to supporting first-year-in-college-students through peer mentorship as they transition into university life. FYE Peer Mentors meet with students one-on-one to provide academic, social, and personal support to enhance student success.
Fostering Futures Program
The Fostering Futures Program is a campus-based program to support Roadrunners who have a history of foster care. We work with new and continuing students who receive the Tuition and Fee Waiver to provide you with the support you need to be academically successful.
Housing and Residence Life
Living on campus is your best option for convenience, belonging, academic success and all that campus life has to offer. Housing and Residence Life provides info and can answer all of your questions about on-campus housing.

López Scholars
This scholarship is the product of a partnership between the University of Texas at San Antonio, the Hector and Gloria López Foundation, and the UT Foundation. Together, the scholarship provides a unique opportunity for students by removing financial barriers, opening doors to new opportunities, and laying the foundation for generational wealth. Student Success Coaching
Student Success Coaches and Academic Peer Coaches provide guidance with developing the skills and strategies needed for academic success and personal growth through individual coaching sessions tailored to meet the specific learning needs of each student.
Supplemental Instruction (SI)
Supplemental Instruction (“SI”) provides weekly study sessions for highly-enrolled, difficult courses, facilitated by students who have received an A or the B in the class previously and attend the class alongside currently enrolled students.

Transfer and Transition Student Success Services
Transfer and Transition Student Success Services (T2S3) is here to empower, support and assist transfer students before, during, and after their transfer to the university by providing timely, accurate information and a seamless transition.
TRIO Student Support Services
Student Support Services (SSS) is a TRiO program that provides opportunities for academic development, assists students with basic college requirements and motivates students to successfully complete their postsecondary education. The goal of SSS is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants.
Tutoring Services
Tutoring Services provides academic support to students enrolled in supported STEM courses through several programs, including drop-in, appointment, group and online tutoring.
