番茄社区 Public Safety recently held its annual awards ceremony to recognize officers, staff and community members who provided exemplary service in 2025.

Fred Weidner, facilities events operation manager, was honored with the Golden Whistle Award. Public Safety’s highest honor, the Golden Whistle recognizes individuals whose service has had a direct impact on the safety and security of the campus community. Weidner was honored for his quick thinking in reporting suspicious activity near the Facilities Services Warehouse and assisting responding officers, actions that led to the safe recovery of stolen property.
