• Must be participating in a ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø-approved internship program in the District of Columbia and must receive University credit for the internship.
• The internship can be with the U.S. government, non-governmental organizations, or non-profit organizations. 
• The award may be used for Fall, Spring, or Summer semesters.
• Students must be in good academic standing
• This scholarship recipient will write a brief report about their internship experience. The report may be published as part of the scholarship promotion online.

Dr. Yvonne Katz was the first president of the ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Alumni Association and gifted the Katz Alumni Center in 2012. Funds are also used to support the Norman and Valley Fern D'Olive Memorial Scholarship.

Applicants should be high school seniors that will graduate from a Houston metropolitan area high school.

• Recipients must be enrolled at ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø. Undergraduate students must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours, and graduate students must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Recipients must be in good academic standing with the university during the awarding period and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average. For scholarship renewal/continuation purposes, the GPA requirement may be waived for one regular semester by the Association if, in the opinion of the Director or their designee, it is academically feasible for the student to raise their GPA to the required minimum level by the end of the waived regular semester. Written waiver of approval by the Association shall be submitted to the Scholarship Office.

  • It is highly recommended that a student attempts to submit one letter of recommendation from a ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Alumnus.

• Recipients must be enrolled at ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø and in the Alvarez College of Business. Undergraduate students must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours, and graduate students must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Recipients must be in good academic standing with the university during the awarding period and maintain a minimum 2.75 cumulative grade point average. • Recipients must be in good academic standing with the university during the awarding period and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average. For scholarship renewal/continuation purposes, the GPA requirement may be waived for one regular semester by the Association if, in the opinion of the Director or their designee, it is academically feasible for the student to raise their GPA to the required minimum level by the end of the waived regular semester. • Recipients shall be enrolled minimum of 12 credit hours and in “good standing” at (·¬ÇÑÉçÇø), or its successor
• Recipients must be an active member and in good standing with the Alpha Sigma Alpha – Delta Upsilon Chapter at ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø
• Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.0

• Students must apply through the Scholarship Hub
• Students must have and maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA
• Community service involvement is required
• Recipients must provide a three or four-sentence biography (including major), and a headshot photo & will communicate with the scholarship coordinator.

1. Recipients must be undergraduate students enrolled full-time, 12 credit hours, and actively pursuing a degree at ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø. An exception to full-time enrollment may be granted by the Association on a case-by-case basis when the student is not required to take a full course load to graduate, provided the student is enrolled a minimum of half-time. A written waiver of approval by the Association shall be submitted to the Scholarship Office.
